Bitget API Key Setup

Create a Bitget API key with trading permissions for automated trading.

Before You Start

  • A verified Bitget account
  • Google 2FA or email verification enabled

Setup Steps

Navigate to API Keys

Log in to your Bitget account. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner, then select "API Keys" from the menu.

Create API Key

Click "Create API Key" and select "System-generated" as the key type.

Configure API Key Settings

Fill in the following: - **Name/Label**: Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "10Quant") - **Passphrase**: Create a strong passphrase and remember it — you will need it in 10Quant - **Permission**: Select "Read-Write" - **Check specific permissions**: ✅ Spot > Trade ✅ Read ❌ DO NOT check "Withdraw" Click "Next" when done.

Do NOT check "Withdraw". Only Read and Trade permissions are needed.

Complete Verification

Complete the security verification using Google Authenticator code, email code, and/or phone SMS as prompted.

Copy Your API Keys

After verification, copy the following: - **Access API Key** (API Key) - **Secret Key** - **Passphrase** (the one you created in Step 3) The Secret Key will only be shown once.

Add API Key to 10Quant

Go to the 10Quant platform and navigate to Settings > Exchange API. Click "Add Key", select Bitget as the exchange, then paste the API Key, Secret Key, and Passphrase. Click "Verify" to confirm the connection is working.

Important Warnings

  • Never grant Withdraw permission.
  • Remember your Passphrase — it is required for API authentication in 10Quant.
  • Copy your Secret Key immediately — it will only be shown once.

Helpful Tips

  • Bitget has separate permissions for spot and futures — make sure to enable the correct ones.
  • You can create multiple API keys for different trading strategies.
